When his wife is threatened while on a walking holiday in the Scottish Highlands, Robert Castle tries to get justice, only to find the people of Scotland have little rights on their historic land.

Meanwhile, Scotland is preparing to vote on independence when the deaths of senior members of the Scottish Government forces an election.

Disillusioned by his research into Scotland’s history, and sensing that the theft of Scotland’s land over many centuries has robbed the people of their opportunity to be independent, Castle establishes a new political party and fights for a modern day land grab – to reverse the clearances and return the land that was stolen from Scotland’s people.

Challenging an out of touch parliament, Robert turns government on its head by introducing Cafe Politics – a way for communities to debate and agree their own policies.

But how far will Robert go in his determination to overturn the injustice of the Highland Clearances and will he lead Scotland to a better future or into civil war?
